Party Craziness, Polar Express, and Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

Things have been absolutely C.R.A.Z.Y. since last Thursday! I had this post ready to go minus a few pictures of my kids making snowflakes (which I didn't take - AUGH!).

We had our holiday party yesterday (Thursday the 20th) afternoon. We started at 12:30 with a delicious lunch of pizza! Yum!

Then we started our activities. We had three centers - a craft center, a cookie decorating center, and then Winter Bingo! Here are some pictures from our afternoon of fun! My kids even said that it didn't even feel like they were at school!

 

Today (Friday the 21st) we watched Polar Express and enjoyed a delicious treat of hot chocolate and red velvet cookies (YUM!).

We also made snowflakes for Sandy Hook. A co-worker bought a snowflake kit from Michael's and we put these together. We then used coffee filters and it was a snowflake making sweatshop party going on in my room!

They are boxed up and ready to be shipped.

At 2 o'clock the bell rang and this teacher if off until January 7th (well as off as she can be with a stack of papers to grade and blogs and Pinterest readily available!)
